Data crawling

Data crawling or data scraping is a way of data misuse, which involves collecting and downloading publicly available data from the internet. Attackers use special bots and techniques to download data from websites and then use it illegally, often for profit. In the case of Zásilkovna, crawling takes place for example in the form of data misuse related to pick-up points—attackers download data and addresses of pick-up locations and place them on their own website. The customer of Zásilkovna then draws information from unauthorized sites, where the data may be out of date or incorrect. Thus, dubious websites, such as z-asilkovna.cz. or zaaasilkovna.cz. often appear in online waters.
