Job description

Head of Payroll Accounting

The Payroll team at Packeta Group is primarily responsible for processing salaries, ensuring that all payroll processes are carried out efficiently and accurately. We make sure that all employees receive their wages on time and in compliance with applicable regulations. We assist with salary calculations, tax settlements, and adherence to labor laws. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete payroll agenda and related accounting.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant authorities, including the Czech Statistical Office.
  • Prepare regular monthly reports on salaries, bonuses, absenteeism, vacations, etc., for all Czech entities.
  • Prepare and calculate annual tax settlements.
  • Monitor developments in payroll, tax, labor law, and personnel legislation and implement required changes to ensure compliance
  • Import and check data related to tax discounts and process, check requests for annual settlements for all employees from the Payminator program to Nugget.
  • Calculate employee wages, including individual wage components, compensations, etc. Including deductions and contributions.
  • Manage tasks related to Edenred and the Aktion attendance program.
  • Process and check requests for annual settlements for all employees in the Payminator program.

Requirements:

  • Min 5 yrs of Head of payroll experience
  • Epertise in related tax and labor law areas
  • Ability to lead team and cooperate closely with other teams (Finance, Legal)
  • Analytical and strategic thinking:
  • Ability to analyze payroll data and derive relevant insights from it.
  • Proactive change management:
  • Ability to identify the need for changes in the organization and propose and implement appropriate change initiatives.
  • Excellent computer skills – MS Office
  • Communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Czech and English languages.
