The Group Transport Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of transport operations across the Packeta Group. This includes designing and implementing standards for Last Mile and Line Haul transportation, ensuring alignment across all countries, and driving operational efficiency through optimization and standardization. This role is instrumental in ensuring seamless and reliable transport solutions that support the group’s strategic goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
What will you do:
1. Last Mile Transport
- Develop and implement group-wide standards for Last Mile transport operations.
- Clearly define responsibilities and roles within Last Mile processes across all countries.
- Ensure consistent performance metrics and service quality across all regions.
2. Line Haul Transport
- Design and establish standards for Line Haul transportation within the Packeta network.
- Define clear accountability and operational processes to ensure efficient and timely execution.
- Monitor and optimize Line Haul performance to maximize cost-efficiency and reliability.
3. Optimization Across Countries
- Analyze transport operations across all Packeta regions to identify opportunities for cost, time, and efficiency improvements.
- Implement innovative and data-driven solutions to enhance transport performance and reduce costs.
- Foster collaboration between countries to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
4. Standardization Across the Group
- Lead efforts to standardize transport processes and systems across all Packeta Group countries.
- Ensure compliance with group-wide transport standards and operational guidelines.
- Develop and implement a unified framework for measuring transport KPIs and reporting.
What We Expect from You:
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to define and implement transport strategies aligned with business goals.
- Operational Expertise: Strong knowledge of Last Mile and Line Haul transport operations, including process optimization and performance management.
- Leadership & Coordination: Experience in leading and coordinating transport teams across multiple countries.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate effectively with teams across different countries and cultural backgrounds. Fluency in Czech/Slovak and English needed.
- Proven experience in transport management, preferably in a multinational logistics or parcel delivery environment.
- Demonstrable expertise in optimizing and standardizing transport operations.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Solid understanding of transport regulations, KPIs, and operational best practices.
- Experience in working with diverse teams and building collaborative environments.
