Carriers in Germany charge various types of surcharges when your parcels are delivered outside of standard processes. For better orientation, we have created an overview for you where you can find important information and items. So what are the rules and parameters of parcels delivered in Germany?

DELIVERY TO THE ADDRESS (Packeta)

Standard parcel parameters

  • maximum size 120 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm

  • minimum dimension 1 cm x 11 cm x 15 cm

  • square rigid packaging - carton or box

Parcels larger or smaller than the specified parameters, or in loose or unboxed packaging, will be charged as "non-standard" with an additional charge. This surcharge is added after a certain period of time and outside of the regular shipping price.

Examples of non-standard shipments:

  • round or triangular parcels

  • two or more parcels tied, glued or in any other way assigned to each other

  • a parcels from which any part of its contents protrudes

  • thin envelope

  • packaging in black foil

  • bag-shaped packaging

  • ironing boards, rods, wheels, wheels

As part of this service, parcels can only be delivered to the address. For delivery to pick-up points in Germany, it is possible to use the service of our partner Hermes.

Good to know: For damaged deliveries delivered in Germany, proof of damage must be provided within 5 days of delivery.
